PROJECT PROFILE: BLENHEIM CIVIL WAR GRAFFITI
The plaster walls and ceilings located in the attic of the historic Blenheim estate represent the most voluminous and best preserved collection of Civil war soldier graffiti in the nation. meanwhile, even more drawings and signatures are being discovered beneath the wallpaper on the floors below. The City of Fairfax asked Aaslestad to prepare a series of ortho-photos covering the newly discovered surfaces to determine the scope and layout of these artifacts.
