PROJECT PROFILE: THE PARK AVENUE ARMORY
From the armoryonpark.org website: " The New York City Landmarks Commission has described the Armory's magnificent reception and company rooms, designed by leaders of the American Aesthetic Movement, as the single most important collection of 19th century interiors to survive intact in one building." After preparing a voluminous and detailed set of drawings describing this incredible structure (which occupies a full city block in Manhattan's Upper East Side) for Frazier Associates, Aaslestad continued to collaborate on this project by providing documentation of the Board of Officer's Room which had been covered by scaffolding in previous years. Deliverables included drawings of the 2 story high space in plan, elevation and reflected ceiling plan along with a mosaic of ortho-photos.
