PROJECT PROFILE: GARRETT HALL
Garrett Hall, designed by McKin Mead and White in 1908, was the University of Virginia's first dining hall. A century later, the building houses a variety of university offices yet still maintains its signature two-story grand hall with its original paneling and ornamental ceilings - all, however, in need of careful architectural attention. To aid in this effort, Aaslestad Preservation Consulting prepared a combination of detailed elevation- and reflected ceiling plan drawings with a series of ortho-photos to document the structureís interior as it stands today.
